World wide known as Simmental, the German Fleckvieh Beef represents a dual-purpose breed, emphasis on beef, with excellent growth potential, best beef quality and high daily gains. A favourable profitability is achieved by regular fertililty, rapid growth and adaptability to various environments. Simmental suits very well for suckler herds, due to the high milk performance and persistence of the Fleckvieh cows, which is leading to a high daily gain of weaners.
In addition, the animals have a very good beef growth in the last period of young bull fattening, with special emphasis on muscularity, particularly at the valuable body parts. The Fleckvieh Beef Breeds ready for slaughtering are providing outstanding carcass yields and beef quality. The Breed suits excellent for crossbreeding with milk breeds.

Polled German Fleckvieh Breeds can be especially recommended for suckler herds. The polled Fleckvieh breed was established without crossbreeding with other polled breeds, the trait genetic polledness is dominant. There are various homozygous and heterozygous polled Fleckvieh sires available, thoroughly tested regarding polledness, easy calving, beef and milk performance.
