...and there is still an immense capacity left.

It has to be taken into consideration that this yield is reached under a wide range of different feeding regimes. Fleckvieh is kept in Germany in intensive crop areas with a high share of maize as well as on pure pasture land and in extensive regions like in the alps and in the black forest. Under intensive production conditions comparable milk performances like from specialized dairy breeds can be observed. Top herds reach average yields of 10.000 kg milk and more.

  • combines highest potential in milk and in beef performance:

In beef performance German Fleckvieh is competitive to specialized beef breeds. Especially in daily gain the same level as that of intensive beef breeds is reached and also the meat quality fits highest demands (more than 2,5% marbling). More than 60 % of all slaughtered bull are classified E and U.

  • combines milk, beef and fitness at it’s best!
  • reduces the number of somatic cells in the milk remarkably – that means no reductions in milk price and less cost for veterinary assistance through better resistance against mastitis

  • the udder quality in the population has tremendously improved in the past years. Nowadays German Fleckvieh cows have functional udders which make fun to be milked .
  • Fleckvieh is capable to mobilize body reserves during the lactation – the reason for a constant milk persistence over the whole lactation avoiding peaks which would may cause health problems. The Fleckvieh cows are well known for steady metabolism
  • calm temperament
  • gives functional, easy-handling cows adaptable to various environments, with which you like your daily work
  • Further development of milk performance each lactation
  • best reproduction rates with low calving intervals ( average 395 days) and very vitals and healthy calfs:
